Status Update

It’s already been two months since I moved to San Francisco. That’s both a terrible amount shorter than my perception, and longer. The place is still new to me, but the vibe and people are not. It’s a familiar atmosphere with new things to see and do, which is why I officially withdrew from the ITP program at NYU to stick around and see where things take me.

Since I’ve been here, I’ve hung with friends old and new, started dating a boy, and written a blog post or two as WordPress Intern.

I’m also co-organizing the first-ever WordPress Charity Scavenger Hunt, which I hope you will register for if you’re in town on August 17. All proceeds benefit 826 Valencia, an awesome local non-profit dedicated to helping students advance their writing skills.

In addition, I’m continuing on my quest to calm my fear of dogs by mad chillin with other peoples’ cute pooches.

But I’ve still kept time aside for surfing. Lately I’ve been digging…

Shazam: The most incredible bit of tech I’ve seen in a while. Use your phone’s mic to record any bit of a song that’s playing anywhere, and it will tell you exactly what song it is, and link you to the iTunes store for purchase.
